A wedding in Newstead at Butterland where a canopy of branches was created around the periphery of the interior space. A low bed of foliage and candles were chosen for the tables to encourage conversation across shared platters of food. Photography by Erin + Tara.
"We adore this theme for its pared-back rustic look, where the smallest detail makes the grandest statement. Plain is perfect and comes through exquisitely in simple, pale decor, table settings and accessories. Tie it all together with concentrations of colour in bright, saturated buds and rich green foliage. Minimalism dominates, as does smooth, simple, refined lines. This beautiful, unpretentious theme is the understated best of everything."

Local Gatherings were honoured to be invited by Kinfolk to host the Natural Home Decor Workshop. After finding the perfect location to serve as a backdrop, we chose to select minimal decor so that the impact of the space could be appreciated. Festive foliage to create wreaths was supplied by Katie Marx Flowers, generous servings of cakes and iced tea was served by Fig + Salt, Lauren Bamford captured the event and Historia Films created a short film. Thanks also go out to Antipodes Water, Fog Linen, Manysquaremeters and Queen B Candles.
